Australian Energy Foundation announces Anna Crabb as new CEO

We are delighted to announce Anna Crabb as our new Chief Executive Officer at Australian Energy Foundation (AEF), as of Monday 7th June 2021. 

Anna brings over sixteen years of professional experience across government, social enterprise and not-for-profit sectors. She has extensive experience building effective community-business partnerships, and working with vulnerable communities. 

“I am passionate about ensuring that each and every person, household, workplace and community in Australia has the tools that they need to access affordable and clean energy.  I’m thrilled to be joining the practical visionaries at the Australian Energy Foundation to empower communities to take action towards an equitable zero carbon society,” said Anna. 

On the appointment, AEF Chair of the Board Travis Neal said, “Anna’s extensive experience across various industries to collaborate and enable change will be an asset to AEF. We are excited to welcome Anna to lead our for-purpose organisation in its new chapter. 

Anna is coming to us from B Lab Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand as Head of Strategy and Partnerships, where she was leading the global movement of people using business as a force for good as Certified B Corporations. 

In her career, Anna also has: 

  • Delivered significant federal, state and local government programs across industry, employment, education, and social services portfolios 
  • Advised Boards and Executives, including Goodstart Early Learning, YMCA and Life Without Barriers 
  • Led shared value partnerships with corporates including NAB, Myer, and Australian Ethical 
  • Built purpose-driven businesses and social enterprises with Social Ventures Australia
