After four and a half years at the Australian Energy Foundation, our wonderful CEO Alison Rowe will be departing us at the end of February 2021 to take up a new role as the Managing Director Australia at The Nature Conservancy.
Alison joined us in 2016, when we were the Moreland Energy Foundation Limited (MEFL). Since then, Alison has led with purpose and authenticity, transforming MEFL into the national for-purpose organisation it is today: the Australian Energy Foundation (AEF).
Alison has lived and breathed our strategy and vision for an equitable zero carbon society. She has led the diversification and, with the AEF team, the delivery of large complex programs such as Our Energy Future, EnergySmart Research Project and Healthy Homes; the transition to the Australian Energy Foundation on a national scale; and AEF declaring a Climate Emergency.
The AEF Board sincerely thanks Alison for her leadership and commitment in transforming the organisation to expand its profile and impact nationally. We wish her the very best and all the success for her new role.
Alison says, “I am proud to leave AEF with the highly capable and talented team who will all lead the organisation in the future to deliver scalable impact. My deepest thanks to the Board, the Team, our Partners, and our Members. It’s the collaboration, connection to purpose and continuous learning I have truly valued during my time at AEF.”
The AEF Board is currently working closely with Alison in establishing interim arrangements.
On behalf of the AEF community, please join us in congratulating Alison on her new role.
