As we face the difficult challenge of responding to the Coronavirus, we want you to know that our number one priority is the health and safety of our people, our partners and our community.
Our thoughts are with the members of our community who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate the healthcare workers around the world who are on the front line working to contain the Coronavirus.
Please know that we are carefully monitoring the situation and following recommended health and safety guidelines from the World Health Organisation and the Department of Health. Please be assured that we are taking the necessary precautions to protect your safety, our people, suppliers and that of our community.
At the Australian Energy Foundation, it is business as usual.
Our Energy Advice Service is available and our other programs are still operating as normal. A majority of our team are working from home and most of our services will be delivered digitally. We have put additional measures in place to protect our customers, our people and our community:
- Anyone that has recently returned from overseas, been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or has cold/flu-like symptoms will self-isolate for 14 days
- Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 will self-isolate until they recover from the virus
- Our suppliers and home energy assessors will call ahead to check that you are not matching any of the above criteria. They will check to ensure you are still comfortable with someone coming to your home. They are practicing social distancing, so will not shake your hand or come closer than 1.5m as well as ensuring good hygiene practices including regular hand washing and using hand sanitiser.
- We ask that if you are self-isolating or have cold/flu-like symptoms, that you call to advise, and your appointment can be rearranged.
We are fortunate to have a dedicated team of people who are still very much focused on helping to achieve a more energy-efficient and zero carbon society.
