City of Canterbury Bankstown and the Australian Energy Foundation

City of Canterbury Bankstown is one of eight Sydney Councils which worked together with Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils to develop Our Energy Future: The Renewable Energy Master Plan. The ultimate goal of this plan is to significantly increase the proportion of energy consumed in the area that is derived from renewable sources. The plan identified a need for a community energy advisory service, to help local residents reduce their energy consumption and improve energy efficiency. The Australian Energy Foundation was selected to provide that service for the councils.
